FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I BOOK YOU?

Weddings can be booked up to a year in advance.  I suggest booking once your date has been finalized and your venue is booked. To book your date all I require is a signed contract and a non refundable retainer which goes towards the remaining of your balance. The retainer fee is $500 to hold your date. Once contract is signed and the retainer is paid your date is officially booked.

WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

Moody, organic, emotional, fun, candid, and journalistic. I want to capture the REAL and perfectly imperfect photos that tell the story of your true love. I will guide you with prompts that will probably make you laugh and bring out intimate interactions. This approach helps you relax and creates genuine and romantic photos. When it comes to editing I adjust color and exposure to match my style of photography and mood of the session. I never photoshop my images or modify bodies. I know that we are our own worst critic but it's important to embrace ourselves and appreciate who we are as it is all part of your story.

HOW AND WHEN ARE OUR IMAGES DELIVERED?

Wedding galleries are delivered within 6-8 weeks after your wedding date. Photos are delivered in JPEG format in an online gallery with print+share options, download capabilities, and print ordering options. You will also receive a standard print release so you can print your photos at the lab of your choice.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

YES! I love to travel and I'd be thrilled to come along to wherever you plan on tying the knot! Statewide travel is included within North Carolina. For weddings out of state all I ask is that you cover the cost of travel plus lodging and I'll be there at my normal rate!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?

I've been photographing professionally since 2013. I've shot over 50+ weddings myself and assisted shooting many others for fellow photographers through the years. 

CAN WE SHARE OUR IMAGES ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Please do! I retain the copyright to all of my images but please feel free to share them with family and friends. All I ask is that you credit my business page "Megan Gallagher Photography" when posting to Facebook or Instagram.

DO WE NEED TO DO ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS?

It's up to you but I think it's a great ice breaker for us to get to know one another before your big day.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Any retainers and monies paid are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule your wedding please contact me as soon as possible to see if I have availability for your new requested date. 

WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?

I am drawn to free-spirited and adventurous couples who aren't afraid to be themselves and go against the grain. I mesh really well with laid back folks who enjoy being in the moment and love the outdoors. I also really enjoy off beat couples who are non-traditional and quirky who are looking for something different and out of box. I am constantly trying to create new and exciting things to keep things fresh so if you've got any crazy cool ideas I'm your girl.  I want to also note that my business does NOT discriminate against POC, LGBT, or religious/non-religious persons.  I'm more than happy to work with any and all types of people.

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

I photograph weddings, elopements, anniversary sessions, and just because couple sessions. I'm also happy to photograph families, newborns, graduation portraits, and events. 

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE IN MY GALLERY?

You can expect between 50-100 images per hour of shooting.
