Ballard Bar Church Wedding | Seattle Wedding Photography

My gosh where do I even start with this wedding? It was jam packed with so much goodness. The day started with the sweetest first look at the botanical gardens. Alex and Matias both got ready nearby and met at the gardens where they saw each other for the first time in their wedding attire. It was probably the most emotional first look i’ve witnessed and was amazing to be a part of. Next the wedding party joined them for portraits in the garden before we all headed off to the venue at Bar Church. Alex and Matias had originally hoped for an outdoor ceremony in Fremont Park which overlooks the city but the forecast was calling for rain so they decided to have it indoors at Bar Church instead. As much as I love outdoor ceremonies, I actually loved the indoor location they chose because it had sky lights so natural light flooded the space and it had an industrial feel with exposed brick throughout the venue. After the vows we went out to Fremont Park where the ceremony was suppose to take place originally and did their portraits since the place had a lot of sentimental value to them since that is where they lived in Seattle together. When we returned back to the venue all the guests created a welcome tunnel for them to run through when we opened the doors. It was a party!!! After everyone at delicious food, the mood shifted into a grand celebration for the pair. Family put together a special slide show from those who could not make the wedding in the states. Other members of the family surprised everyone with musical acts and a show for the couple. Everyone danced the night away and at the end of the night masks and props were passed out for a special Uruguay tradition called The "Cotillon”, it was an absolute blast!
